Overview:This is a HR Program/Project Manager role within the HR function. The selected candidate will be in the Human Resources Project Management Office, which has the responsibility to lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for the Akamai Global HR team. They will be responsible to facilitate the global alignment, and development of cross-functional HR programs/projects. This role will require a broad spectrum of knowledge of HR programs, business processes, and will demonstrate operational excellence in strategic planning and tactical execution or projects. Proven experience in successfully deploying HR projects in a global technology company with a similar employee population, global reach and organizational complexity is a plus.

The selected candidate will be embedded into highly-skilled teams and responsible to partner for the planning and execution of HR Programs for HR Operations, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Change Management, HR Mergers and Acquisitions, HR Analytics and Business Partnering.


* Develops project plans in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders to execute strategic HR engagements including scope, deliverables, required resources, and timelines.
* Manage a variety of cross-functional strategic HR initiatives and annual programs from project initiation until closure. Programs will vary in HR discipline, length, and complexity.
* Lead project teams to ensure overall project success, and will often need to deal with ambiguity and shifting priorities throughout the life cycle of a project.
* Assign tasks and set deadlines for project team to support the successful completion of project milestones and will report out on project risks and successes to sponsors & stakeholders.
* Recommend mitigation strategies to prevent and resolve risks that arise during projects.
* Practices ongoing process improvement on projects to drive for operational excellence within HR.
* Partner with SMEs to ensure best practices of change communication and management are embedded into projects.
* Execute against the HR Governance Framework to ensure role clarity and responsibilities on projects and processes.
* Manage the development, delivery and alignment of consistent Global HR communications through the HR Calendar, Newsletter and other communication vehicles for HR programs.
* Contributes to the development of HR communications to embed into the business lifecycle to improve employee engagement.


Basic Qualifications
* 5 years of professional HR experience, with experience managing and leading HR projects.
* Bachelor’s degree required.
* Advanced MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

* Strong customer orientation, excellent conflict management skills and problem solving skills with an ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
* Excellent communication skills both oral and written.Master’s degree preferred.
* Excellent leadership & negotiation skills.
* Excellent analytical & problem solving capability.
* A strong business minded consultative approach with focus on results.
