Job Summary

The Communication Specialist reports directly to the Director of Corporate Communications and is responsible for the support of the day-to-day development and management of global employee communications for AGCO.


Job Function and Responsibilities

  • Support Manager, Global Internal Communications to develop and implement engaging stories and campaigns using text, video, audio and graphics, and disseminate content across multiple communication channels, including email, intranet and other digital systems.
  • Hands-on support of daily news, events, and communication campaigns, to include content accuracy, research, writing, page layout, graphic and video editing.
  • Follow corporate review processes and ensure timely delivery of accurate information.




  • 4-Year Degree Required in Communications, Multi-media, Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, and/or Business.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years working experience required. Campaign development, idea generation, news writing, and hands-on experience using multimedia, digital- based communications tools preferred.
  • Must have high-level verbal and written English communications skills.  Additional languages a plus.
  • Must be confident and have a “can do, positive, willingness to learn” attitude. 
  • Computer literacy required (working knowledge of image editing software such as Photoshop, InDesign as well as video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or Camtasia; MS Office including Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook; familiarity with social media platform such as Facebook, Twitter). 
  • Must be geared to a socially diverse work environment and have common sense and problem solving capabilities that will enable successful collaboration with remote stakeholders from around the world.  International studies and experience a plus.
  • Must have ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Additionally, must be a multi-tasker and handle several projects at the same time. 
  • Experience or knowledge of employee communications required.
  • Experience with publishing Intranet webpages and using a content management system such as Sharepoint a plus.
  • Experience using social media tools to boost employee engagement and positive branding enhancement that promote sales a plus.

Travel Required

  • Need to be able to travel up to 10% of the time to attend conferences, training and corporate meetings and events
