Internal Medicine Service Line

Phenomenal opportunity to grow and contribute in a fast-paced, industry-leading ambulatory healthcare delivery environment. The Internal Medicine Service Line (IMSL) within Atrius Health is the largest specialty service in terms of breadth of locations, total revenue and total FTEs, at 23 different locations throughout eastern Massachusetts.Our operational enterprise is divided into 4 regions: North, River/Urban, West and South, covering our expansive geography from the north shore down to Cape Cod.

The Administrative Assistant for Internal Medicine Service Line (IMSL) Administration functions as an executive assistant, providing important organization and central administrative support for the central IM Service Line (SL) leadership team which is comprised of the Service Line physician Chair, Executive Director, and Assoc Director of Nursing. Additional team coordination is also provided ad hoc to the two Associate Chairs who represent the north and south regions they oversee.The Administrative Assistant will be the internal and external customer service "face" of the IM Service Line. In addition to assisting our senior leaders' with schedule management and general organization of multiple in-process tasks and agendas, the Administrative Assistant will use/develop in-depth knowledge of our IM service line to respond to inquiries, facilitate coordination within the IM Service Line and with other Atrius service lines, across all sites and with senior administration offices within Atrius Health.

Our Administrative Assistant will be an action-oriented, initiative-taking, contributing member of the central IM team. The right candidate will have advanced skills with the MS Office application suite, be able to efficiently juggle multiple requests and competing priorities, and demonstrate keen attention to detail to achieve timely, high quality outcomes and deliverables. Experience providing executive leader support is required. Undergraduate degree is strongly preferred, especially in healthcare administration or related field of study.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School diploma (or equivalent education, training or experience) required. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

Skills and Experience: Skill and experience typically gained through 3-5 years of experience in office coordination/management. Excellent and polished communication and organizational skills are expected. Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills. Advanced facility with Microsoft Word and Excel programs. Experience with financial report monitoring and light analysis.
